Patient deposit in hospital

So that a patient could receive medical treatment in hospital paid by the State, there has to be a referral or a recommendation from the patient’s family doctor or a medical specialist who in turn has contractual liabilities with National Health Service.

  • For getting medical treatment in hospital, starting from a second day, you have to pay – 10,00 euro.
  • For getting medical treatment in state agencies, health care hospitals and care departments of hospitals – 7,11 euro.
  • For getting medical treatment for oncology and oncohematology diagnoses (in any hospital) – 7,11 euro.
  • For getting treatment for alcohol and drug addiction, as well as psychotropic and toxic substances addiction – 7,11 euro.
  • For medical rehabilitation – 10,00 euro.
Patient depostits for diagnostic examinations in ambulatory care and in a day patient facility:     
  • Computer tomographic examinations without intravenous radiopaques (you can cash in once in the course of one visit or one examination) – 14,23 euro.
  • Computer tomographic examinations with intravenous radiopaques (carrying out an examination without radiopaques, which is immediately followed by one with radiopaques, you cash in a patient payment only for the examination with radiopaques) – 21,34 euro;
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance examinations without radiopaques (you can cash in once in the course of one visit or one examination) – 28,46 euro;
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance examinations with intravenous radiopaques (carrying out an examination without radiopaques, which is immediately followed by one with radiopaques, you cash in a patient payment only for the examination with radiopaques) – 35,57 euro;
  • Coronography – 9,96 euro. 
The total sum of patient deposits, which is paid by the patient for each time or case he or she gets medical treatment in hospital must not exceed 355.72 euro. The total sum of patient deposit in one calendar year must not exceed 569.15 euro. 
 
Medical institutions from a patient can take co-payment but in the amount of not more than 31,00 euro per one settlement time for surgical manipulations carried out in the operating room.
